edit-on Pro Technical FAQ

That was not our goal when we designed edit-on Pro. The idea of edit-on Pro is to provide an in-browser WYSIWYG word processor-like authoring tool for text fragments within web-based applications, such as Content Management Systems, e-Learning, Knowledge Management Systems, CRM etc. edit-on Pro is an component/application that has to be integrated into a web-based application. Thus, the editor is not a tool for installation on a standalone PC/workstation in order to edit static web pages.

It also empowers non-technical users to become XHTML/XML content contributors without any knowledge of HTML or XML. The editor has an easy-to-use, intuitive user interface and can be fully customized to limit the users' editing power, e.g. allowing web developers and webmasters to control the website's look and feel through their CMS.
