Licensing Terms

Grant of License

The CPU License allows the use of PDFreactor on 1 (one) physical or virtual machine. It may be used only on the licensed physical or virtual machine containing up to 4 (four) CPU cores*. Licenses for additional CPU cores can be bought from RealObjects.

The CPU License allows you to utilize PDFreactor as part of an Application Service Provider (ASP) or Software as a Service (SaaS) offering whereby you provide web-based software and hosting of that software for use by third parties for a fee or free-of-charge. However, you are not permitted to use the PDFreactor CPU License as part of your ASP or SaaS offering in order to provide pure XML/XHTML/HTML + CSS printing functionality, which substantially duplicates the functionality of PDFreactor. PDFreactor functionality as part of any kind of ASP or SaaS offering is only permitted as long as the PDFreactor functionality remains an inferior functionality as part of a superior ASP or SaaS feature set or service.

OEMs that wish to include and ship RealObjects PDFreactor with their products and services require an individual licensing agreement. Please contact us for details.

The 1 Year Support & Maintenance subscription entitles you to receive priority technical support and all maintenance releases or updates or upgrades for the duration of the support period. It is optional for year 2 and beyond. You can renew the 1 Year Support & Maintenance until 30 days after the end of the subscription period. After this date, an upgrade must be purchased to reactivate the Support & Maintenance.

RealObjects will provide you with an unlock key which enables the use of the PDFreactor software license. The information contained in the unlock key will include among others the type of license and the number of licensed CPUs. You might also have to provide the names of the machine on which PDFreactor will be installed. RealObjects further reserves the right to introduce and use appropriate license enforcement techniques in PDFreactor, which are designed to prevent illegal use or distribution. The license enforcement techniques might require the activation of the PDFreactor software license. This may require establishing a temporary network connection to a RealObjects web service. RealObjects reserves all rights to modify the license enforcement techniques used in PDFreactor at any time.
