PDFreactor can be deployed as a Java library, command line tool, or can be used with a .NET or PHP API. If it is used as a Java library or command line, no further installation is required.

However, if the .NET or PHP APIs are used, an application server running PDFreactor as a service is required. PDFreactor is delivered with a pre-configured version of Jetty, which enables you to quickly deploy PDFreactor as a service on your server.
