Actually, Windows NT is not officially supported. The reason for this is that Microsoft itself has largely stopped the support for Windows NT on 2003-07-01. However, we have some customers which successfully use the applet on Windows NT platforms and we have not heard of problems related to NT yet. If you want to use it with NT, you should make sure you are using a recent JavaVM.
