A new release of RealObjects edit-on Pro 3.x is available for immediate download from the RealObjects website.
The new release 3.1.181 is a free update for all customers who bought edit-on Pro 3.0. Customers who are using edit-on Pro 2.x with a valid software maintenance subscription may upgrade to edit-on Pro 3.1 using the form in the "Support" section of our website.
Users currently evaluating the software may also download the new version.
Because edit-on Pro Version 3.1.181 includes some major performance improvements and bug fixes, we strongly recommend all current edit-on Pro 3.0 customers to update to this latest version.
The new features include:
- New APIs get/setHeadElementContent
- New API set_GETHTMLDATAURL
- New toolbar button JSICON, to easily call JavaScript methods from the toolbar
- Alternative behaviour for ENTER keys < br > instead of < p >..< /p > can be configured
- Support align 'justify' (but is not displayed in WYSIWYG view)
- Frame window mode selectable as default display
- Toolbar configurable as extended/shinked
- Selection between font size units pt and px
- New alternative icon set (XP-like style)
The bugfixes include:
- Major performance improvement when editing large documents
- Eliminated a number of cases where the DOM was corrupted
- Fixed problems with Redo/Undo
- Fixed parser problem
- Fixed < endrow / > tag within toolbar causes applet crash
- Fixed problems when formatting text within nested numbered lists
- Fixed copying multiple incomplete paragraphs/list doesn't carry sufficient paragraph type/style info
- Fixed editor inserts additional < html > and < body > tags after inserting an image behind a < hr/ > Tag.
- Fixed applet garbles source code after loading via insertHTMLdata, while rendering correctly in WYSIWYG
- Fixed HTML Code is corrupted after cutting and pasting Image
- Fixed "Insert Span" dialog does not show any css classes to choose from, despite a stylesheet being loaded.
- Fixed Insert custom tag in first cell of a table doesn't work properly
- Fixed inserting images via insertHTML and insertCustomTag API doesn't work
- Fixed insertCustomTag doesn't work in last paragraph and for images
- Fixed URLs are treated differently when encoded.
- Fixed When bookmarks are inserted in WYSIWYG, the code in the source view is not shown correctly
- Fixed Tables are not deleted correctly when placed within text
- Fixed when using shortcuts to paste text into the editor, the cursor does not move
