RealObjects releases new versions of PDFreactor, edit-on NG and edit-on Pro

Saarbrücken RealObjects released new versions of their products PDFreactor, edit-on NG and edit-on Pro today. The changes include:

PDFreactor 6.1.6560.2

Fixed issues:

  • jQuery 1.9.0 did not initialize.
  • "getClientRects" and "getBoundingClientRect" could not be accessed via JavaScript. (note: This fix improves the results of jQuery "offset" and similar methods of other libraries.)
  • Tables causing named pages could get cut off
  • Certain combinations of named pages and JavaScript could produce incorrect page breaks. (note: This can still occur in the demo.)
  • Exceptions during license key validation are now appended to the error message.

edit-on NG 3.0.3329

Fixed issues:

  • Tables causing named pages could get cut off.
  • Editing documents containing named pages could produce incorrect page breaks.

Important notes:

  • Replaced the expired certificate in eong.jar with an updated certificate.

edit-on Pro

Fixed issues:

  • Replaced the expired certificate in edit-on-pro-5.jar with an updated certificate.

Additional Notes

Starting from JRE 1.7.0_11, an information dialog is displayed when loading an unsigned applet for the first time. This is a security measure put in place by Oracle to prevent loading potentially unsafe applets without the user's consent. This warning may appear if you are using the applet preload mechanism that is part of edit-on Pro 5 and edit-on NG.
