To edit the link afterwards the author selects the text or image and opens a dialog through a toolbar button, context-sensitive menu or pull down menu entry.

Besides the default symbols in the "Insert Symbol" dialog, the integrator/developer can also define additional symbols through the editor's configuration file. Those will then be available to the users through the "Additional Symbols" tab within the dialog.

The visual resizing can be enabled/disabled by the integrator/developer.

Separate pre- and post reform German dictionary
In the late 1990s a government-sponsored reformation of the rules used to spell certain German words (Die Neue Rechtschreibung) was introduced. The reformation was sanctioned by Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Liechtenstein. The new spelling rules will be required in schools and government documents by 31 July 2005.
Acceptance of the spelling reform is controversial and may remain so for some time. Consequently edit-on Pro provides three versions of the German dictionary, one including words spelled in the "old" (pre-reform) style, one including words spelled in the "new" (post-reform) style and another including words spelled in both "old" (pre-reform) and "new" (post-reform) style.

User can add previously unrecognized words to a custom spell checker dictionary. This can be done per user or per group.

Automatic image upload
Users often like to insert images into documents they are authoring. As part of its comprehensive user functionality, edit-on Pro supports convenient insertion of images from any source such as local hard drives, websites, URLs, MS Word etc.
For example users can "copy and paste" or "drag and drop" images from a local hard drive or website to the editor. They can even draw graphics (e.g. using MS Word) and paste or drop them into the editor.
When saving the document users will have the possibility to rename each image file and sort the images into the determined WebDAV server directory while the file path of the images will automatically be converted from the original source to the WebDAV server during the automatic image upload process.
For more information see also WebDAV protocol support.
