Saarbrücken RealObjects has officially released Ver. 2.1 of its WYSIWYG HTML Rich-Text-Editor Applet edit-on Pro. The Applet provides the familiar editing/formatting functions that users expect from WYSIWYG HTML or word processing editors - across platforms, without installation of client-side software, and also offers all basic formatting options such as: bold, italic, underline, colors, fonts, and the insertion of text, images, controls and hyperlinks.

Furthermore, the editor provides flexible editing of HTML tables. Not only can the user insert tables on the fly, but can also modify existing table structures by adding, deleting or formatting table cells, rows or columns. The main enhancements in Ver. 2.1 are:

• Enhanced HTML functionality, including COLSPAN/ROWSPAN and VALIGN
• Custom tag functionality
• Permanent caching
• Support for encoding such as UTF-8, ISO etc.
• Additional dictionaries: Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Finish
• Online help in 4 UI languages (English, German, French and Spanish
• Official support of Apple MacOS 9 + IE 5.0
