Dynamically generate an invoice
This demonstration shows how PDFreactor can be used to generate invoices on-the-fly. A form allows you to select articles and quantities from a fictional brewery. The form will generate a XML file that is passed to PDFreactor via a Servlet. PDFreactor then converts the XML data by applying a XSLT style sheet and streams the result to a PDF document. start demo
Dynamically create business cards within a Web-to-Print process
This interactive demo shows how PDFreactor can be used in an online Web-to-print application to process the layout and content of business cards. The resulting printable PDF comes with crop marks and could directly be sent to a digital printer. A form allows you to insert the content of the business card while the overall design can be chosen through pre-defined templates. An image, dynamically generated using the same technology PDFreactor is based on, will show a preview of the resulting business card on-the-fly. start demo
PDFreactor featuring edit-on Pro
This demonstration shows how PDFreactor can be used to create a PDF from the XHTML compliant content authored using edit-on Pro. The editor's XHTML output is passed to PDFreactor via a Servlet. PDFreactor then converts the XHTML data applying a CSS style sheet and streams the result to a PDF document. start demo
PDF functionality within a Website
Within various Websites you have probably seen the "printer friendly" functionality, which enables the visitor to create printer friendly pages of the Website content. This functionality is normally achieved by using a special print style sheet while the underlying print process is done through the browser. This approach also allows you to include marketing messages (product or corporate claims etc.) and other information in e.g. the header or footer of the PDF document, rather than relying on the browser's plain print functionality.
You will see this functionality live at following Websites:
| The Hannoversche Lebensversicherung AG (a member of VHV insurance group) is Germany's first and experienced direct insurer with about 779.000 existing insurance contracts and 809 Mio. Euro in contribution receipts in 2005. For each page of their Website (German language only) they offer a PDF print version |

Request a PDFreactor order sheet
Within the PDFreactor "Buy/Upgrade" page of our Website we use PDFreactor to generate an order sheet on-the-fly. The form allows visitors to provide their contact data and information about the number of PDFreactor licenses required. PDFreactor then converts the XML data provided through the form fields by applying a XSLT style sheet and streams the result to a PDF document. Optionally the order sheet will automatically be sent to the visitor's e-mail address.
