2.2 How is PDFreactor integrated?
PDFreactor is provided as a single Java library. Being a integrator or developer with focus on Java, Servlet, EJB or CGI programming, you can either use the powerful Command Line Interface or easily integrate PDFreactor into your Servlet, EJB or Web Service by using the comprehensive Java API. For more information see also the integration manual which is available in PDF and HTML format.
In the simplest case you only have to specify an input and output file to generate a PDF document. It is also possible to use the operating system's standard input (stdin) and output (stdout) streams to read and write content. This is especially useful when using PDFreactor with server side scripting languages such as PHP, ASP.NET, Perl etc.
A PDFreactor Enterprise Edition for straightforward integration into common Java Application Server (e.g. Sun Java Application Server, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere) will be available soon.
